Zhang, an assembly line worker in a motorcycle factory in Chongqing, had always wanted his own motorbike but could never afford one. He started stealing parts from the factory warehouse and assembling them at home in 2003, reports the Chongqing Times. "I don't have that much money, so I came up with the idea of taking the parts home and assembling them on my own," said Zhang. After five years, he had finally built himself a brand new SUV motorcycle and proudly started driving it on the road. But, almost immediately, he was pulled up by police who discovered that he had no driving licence or paperwork for the bike. Zhang admitted theft and was fined the equivalent of £440, put on probation for a year, and ordered to return the motorcycle to the factory. What did he say!!! Woman throws out £500,000 ..... An Israeli woman threw out her elderly mother's old mattress - not realizing it was stuffed with £500,000.
When she learned the truth she dashed outside but was too late to prevent workers from taking it away, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Tel Aviv woman, known only as Anat, who had treated her mother to a new mattress, is now frantically searching local tips for the cash.
Dump manager Yitzhak Borba told Israeli Army Radio that his staff is helping her and that she appeared "totally desperate".
He said 2,500 tons of rubbish arrive at the site every day. Mr Borba even increased security to keep out treasure hunters who had heard Anat's story.
The woman's mother had stashed away her life savings in US dollars and Israeli shekels after "a traumatic experience with banks".
Anat remained hopeful but, prepared for the worst, she said: "People have to take everything in proportion and thank God for the good and the bad."

Want some fries with that... ? ... Coca-Cola ... better Title.... Maybe that’s why I can’t stop drinking this stuff...
Now sold in more than 200 countries, the world-dominating soft drink got its start in 1886, in Atlanta drug store. Pharmacist John Pemberton introduced the product as a non-alcoholic alternative to popular French patent medicines. Though it lacked alcohol, it got its kick from cocaine; the original formula called for a whopping five ounces of coca leaf per gallon of syrup
The cocaine was nixed in 1903, but today's soft drink still gets it flavor from a stimulant-free coca leaf extract. The exact recipe, of course, is a secret. The original formula is kept in a vault at the SunTrust Bank of Atlanta.
Wollen Sie einige Pommes frites damit...?... Coca-Cola... besserer Titel....
Bodybuilders flee drug testers; event canceled
May. 18, 2009 12:19 PM ...Associated Press
BRUSSELS - The Belgian bodybuilding championship has been canceled after doping officials showed up and all the competitors fled.
A doping official says bodybuilders just grabbed their gear and ran off when he came into the room.
"I have never seen anything like it and hope never to see anything like it again," doping official Hans Cooman said Monday.
Twenty bodybuilders were entered in the weekend competition.
Cooman says the sport has a history of doping "and this incident didn't do its reputation any good."
During testing of bodybuilding events last year, doping authorities of northern Belgium's Flanders region found that three-quarters of the competitors tested positive.
A drunk driver was arrested in Germany after he accidentally rang the police instead of a breakdown service when he had a flat tyre.
Before he realised who he was speaking to, the 31-year-old let it slip that he had no licence and was driving under the influence. The civil servant, who lost his licence eight years ago, had a blow out in the western town of Monheim while driving a car borrowed from a friend.
He had a blood alcohol level that was seven times the legal limit, and when he tried to call the German equivalent of the AA he became confused and dialled the emergency number for the police.
The drunken man phoned and said: "My car is broken and I need you to come and fix it. You better be quick because I'm really pretty drunk and I don't have a licence so it wouldn't be good if the cops drove past."
A Monheim police spokesman said: "He wanted us to come quickly, so we did."
